If you're experiencing an issue where your bike's turn signals are reversed—meaning the right signal activates on the left side and vice versa—don't worry! This is a common problem that can be easily fixed by ensuring the correct positioning of your UNIT 1 Remote, or the positioning of your Smart Lights and their Mounts.
Why Is This Happening?
The most likely cause of this issue is the orientation of the UNIT 1 Remote on your bike. If the remote is mounted incorrectly, it can cause the turn signals to operate in the opposite direction.
🛠️ How to Fix the Opposite Turn Signals
Follow these steps to check and correct the orientation of your UNIT 1 Remote:

Locate the UNIT 1 Remote

Check the UNIT 1 Logo: Look for the UNIT 1 logo that is embedded on the remote.

Correct Orientation: Make sure the UNIT 1 logo is facing toward you when you are riding on the bike. If it is facing the opposite direction, this is likely the cause of the issue.

Adjust the UNIT 1 Remote: If the logo is not facing you:
- Reposition the remote so that the UNIT 1 logo is oriented correctly.
- Ensure the remote is securely mounted to avoid any further issues.

Test the Signals: After adjusting the remote, test the turn signals:
- Activate the right turn signal and verify that it lights up on the right side.
- Activate the left turn signal and verify that it lights up on the left side.
If this was not the issue, then you might have your Mounts incorrectly mounted to your bike. How? Because our Mounts can only take lights in a giving orientation, and you want to make sure it's the right one. So let's check this!
- If you already have the Mount connected to the bike, detach it.
- Grab a Smart Light, turn it on, and set it in the right color (white if it's a front light, red if it's a rear light)
- Connect it to the Mount
- Attach the Mount to the bike with the light connected
- Check the turn signals are correct - if not, rotate the mount.
