How Do You Set Up and Use the Crash Alert Feature in the UNIT 1 App? – UNIT 1

All UNIT 1 helmets are equipped with a crash alert function that works through the app. When a hard crash is detected, the app starts a safety check countdown. If you don’t respond within the set time, an SOS text is automatically sent to your emergency contact, including your location.

Setting Up Crash Alert

1. Add an Emergency Contact

To enable crash alert, set up an emergency contact in the app.
Tap the center button to access contacts. Ensure the UNIT 1 app has permission to access contacts in your phone settings.
Note: The contact name should not contain emojis or special characters.
Select your contact and phone number, then tap “Save”.

2. Automatic Activation Option

You can enable automatic activation of crash alert whenever the app is open during your ride.
If disabled, you will need to manually activate crash alert before each ride.

3. Set the Countdown Timer

After a crash is detected, a safety check timer will appear. This is the time you have to cancel the alert before an SOS message is sent.
You can set the countdown to 15 seconds, 1 minute, or 4 minutes.
To adjust these settings, go to Profile > Settings > Crash Alert.
