If your helmet’s lighting or smart lights change unexpectedly, it’s likely due to the Weather Monitoring Feature, which adjusts lighting based on weather conditions or time of day. This feature can override manual settings.
How to Turn Off Weather Monitoring
To maintain manual control over your lighting presets, you can disable the weather monitoring feature:
-
Go to Your Profile:
Open the helmet’s companion app and navigate to your profile. -
Access Preferences:
Find the Preferences section under profile settings. -
Select Weather Monitoring:
Locate the Weather Monitoring option within Preferences. -
Disable Weather or Daytime Mode:
- Toggle Weather Mode off to prevent adjustments based on weather conditions.
- Toggle Daytime Mode off to stop lighting changes based on sunlight.
By disabling these features, your manual presets will remain constant. To re-enable automatic adjustments, turn the desired mode back on.
How Weather Monitoring Affects Lighting
When enabled, weather monitoring adjusts your helmet’s lights to ensure maximum safety:
- Rain or Fog: Switches to Ultra High Visibility Mode, setting all lights to their brightest for better visibility.
- Daylight: Adjusts lighting based on sunlight:
- Nothing: No changes; lights remain as set.
- No Light: Turns off lights but keeps crash alerts active.
- Flashing Lights: Activates flashing lights for maximum daytime visibility.
Daytime and Weather Modes: Detailed Functionality
-
Daytime Mode:
- Operates using the helmet’s light sensor.
- Affects both helmet and smart lights (if connected).
- Does not apply if you only own smart lights.
-
Weather Mode:
