What should I know about NEON's Safety ID?

Safety ID is a medical feature built into your NEON helmet that helps first responders access critical health information if you’re involved in an accident. If you can’t speak, your helmet will.

You can add important medical details β€” such as your name, blood type, allergies, or emergency contact β€” so that first responders can instantly access them by scanning the NFC tag on your helmet. You can update or delete this information anytime from the Safety ID section in the app.

All fields are optional. You can include details like:

  • Identification: name, address, date of birth

  • Body: gender, weight, height

  • Health: organ donor status, pacemaker, blood type, health insurance, pre-existing conditions

  • Pregnancy: yes or no, and estimated due date if applicable

  • Emergency contact: name and phone number (entered manually)

  • Extra notes: any small, helpful, or practical information

You can scan the NFC tag yourself to see how the Safety ID appears in real time on your browser. Once you’ve completed your information in the app, scan your helmet to save it to the device.

If you ever want to delete your information or unlink your helmet from the app, select Clear Safety ID.

Your Safety ID is completely private. The data is stored securely and can only be accessed by authorized responders through the NFC tag on your helmet.
