Choosing the correct helmet size is essential not only for comfort, but also for safety. A properly sized helmet should fit snugly and stay stable on your head, with minimal movement.
If you don't know how to measure your head, check our step-by-step guide here!
How should a helmet fit?
A correctly fitted helmet should:
Feel snug and secure, without being painful.
Allow very little movement once adjusted.
Sit level on your head, with the front edge resting just above your eyebrows.
Cover enough of your head without exposing too much of your forehead.
MIPS note: If your helmet includes MIPS, the helmet may rotate slightly relative to your head (even while buckled). This is normal and not a sign that the helmet is too loose.
How to measure your head for a helmet
Helmet sizing is based on your head circumference (the perimeter around your head). Measuring correctly is key, so we recommend doing it more than once.
Step 1: Gather your tools
Youβll need:
A flexible measuring tape
(or a piece of string + ruler)A mirror (optional but helpful)
Step 2: Take your measurement
Wrap the tape around your head about 1 cm above your eyebrows.
Make sure it stays level and straight all the way around.
Pull it snug (firm but not uncomfortable).
Measure 2β3 times to confirm accuracy.
If needed, average the results.
AURA

FARO
