What is the TORCH Backpack?
The TORCH Backpack is a weatherproof commuter backpack designed for urban riders and everyday use. It combines smart organization, rider-focused ergonomics, and compatibility with UNIT 1 smart safety products.

What’s not included:
- The TORCH Backpack does not include a Smart Light
- The Riding Kit (chest strap, waist belt, helmet holder) is sold separately
- TORCH does not light up or signal unless a Smart Light is installed
- TORCH is not machine washable
These items can be added later to upgrade your setup.
First steps while unboxing
1. Adjust the backpack for comfort: Put the backpack on and adjust the shoulder straps. Familiarize yourself with the padding and airflow channels
2. Decide how you’ll use the compartments: Use the Tech compartment for electronics and cables. Use the Wet & Dirty compartment for shoes, gym clothes, or wet items. Adjust how volume is distributed depending on your daily carry
💡 Tip: You can remove your laptop and tech pouch without fully opening the backpack — perfect for TSA or quick stops.

Not riding? You can remove the light and re-attach the magnetic cap for a clean, minimal look.
Cleaning & Care
To keep your TORCH Backpack in top condition:
- Clean with cold water and a soft cloth
- Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals
- Air dry only
- Never put TORCH in a washing machine
This helps preserve the materials and structure long-term.
Good to know / What to expect
- The backpack materials may feel stiff at first — this is normal and improves with use
- Magnetic components are designed to feel firm and secure
- The Smart Light dock will remain sealed when the cap is installed
